University at Merrill Road Roundabout Public Hearing

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is proposing changes to University from Arlington Expressway to Merrill Road and may apply for a permit with the FDOT in the near future.

The proposed improvements include removing the existing signal at the University Boulevard and Merrill Road intersection and adding a roundabout. This project is part of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and the City of Jacksonville’s project to revitalize the Arlington area of Jacksonville and is not funded by FDOT.

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) along with JTA held a public hearing for the University Boulevard (S.R. 109) at Merrill Road roundabout project on Monday, September 18, 2017. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place of or in addition to oral statements may do so by sending them to Aaron Kaster, FDOT District Two, 1109 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, Florida 32025. All exhibits or statements postmarked on or before October 7 2017 will become part of the public hearing record.
